BLRHS restoration of PRR N5c cabin car

First we had to set up tracks for the N5c - photos below:

August 22, 2011 : We are moving our ex-Conrail N5c cabin car from Mahoningtown to the West Pittsburg station grounds for further restoration work. Prior to the move, BLRHS members assembled and ballasted a panel track. Photos by Wes Maycock and Barry Householder.

Then we had to get the N5c moved:

Silk Road Transport moved our N5c caboose from Mahoningtown to the West Pittsburg station grounds on September 8, 2011. Numerous members and non-members were on hand to witness and photograph the event. The day began with dark clouds and a chance of rain but ended with sunny skies and smiles all around.

Restoration of the N5c can now resume. Periodic progress reports will be posted.     ALL PHOTOS WILL ENLARGE
 

Then we had to restore the N5c Cabin Car.....
