We are working on several projects at one time, this said, we would like to keep you informed on what's going on and what we still need to be accomplished. We absolutely want to thank all our dedicated volunteers that have helped us achieve our goals of restoring railroading history by putting hand in glove, on a shovel, hammer, lawn mover - weed whacker or anything else that needed to be done. If you wish to volunteer, we will be delighted to "keep you busy!"

NOTE: All work photos of the PRR N5C have been transferred to its own restoration page:

Recent happenings:

RRI Energy's New Castle power plant is located across the road from our West Pittsburg station. The power plant no longer receives coal shipments by rail and agreed to donate their rail sidings to the BLRHS if we remove them. Nick D'Amore & Regis Kuntz worked with power plant management to finalize the legal paperwork. All BLRHS members working on power plant property have completed the plant's required safety training and must wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses with side shields, and hearing protection.
